Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard

“If there’s one thing Mare Barrow knows, it’s that she’s different.

Mare Barrow’s blood is red—the color of common folk—but her Silver ability, the power to control lightning, has turned her into a weapon that the royal court tries to control.

The crown calls her an impossibility, a fake, but as she makes her escape from Maven, the prince—the friend—who betrayed her, Mare uncovers something startling: she is not the only one of her kind.

Pursued by Maven, now a vindictive king, Mare sets out to find and recruit other Red-and-Silver fighters to join in the struggle against her oppressors.

But Mare finds herself on a deadly path, at risk of becoming exactly the kind of monster she is trying to defeat.

Will she shatter under the weight of the lives that are the cost of rebellion? Or have treachery and betrayal hardened her forever?

The electrifying next installment in the Red Queen series escalates the struggle between the growing rebel army and the blood-segregated world they’ve always known—and pits Mare against the darkness that has grown in her soul.”

Guys, I’m so proud of myself for getting to reviews and being on the blog more. I love you guys!

So I finished this book a few days ago and I really enjoyed this book more than I expected. I was so worried there would be a second book slump and I’m so happy it didn’t.

This book just had a very good plot line. It wasn’t too long of a book and it felt perfect. I honestly enjoyed it so much. Like everything they were doing just made sense. They had more romance in it and it just is perfect. I think the fact that they don’t make the romance the focus of the story is great. The author easily could’ve done that. I’m so glad she didn’t because ew.

I honestly had such a fun time reading this book. I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars. It wasn’t like amazing and I would recommend it to everyone. It’s not JLA let’s say. But it was a great book and if you like dystopian and fantasy read it!

Until Next Time,
