Winter by Marissa Meyer

“Princess Winter is admired by the Lunar people for her grace and kindness, and despite the scars that mar her face, her beauty is said to be even more breathtaking than that of her stepmother, Queen Levana.

Winter despises her stepmother, and knows Levana won’t approve of her feelings for her childhood friend–the handsome palace guard, Jacin. But Winter isn’t as weak as Levana believes her to be and she’s been undermining her stepmother’s wishes for years. Together with the cyborg mechanic, Cinder, and her allies, Winter might even have the power to launch a revolution and win a war that’s been raging for far too long.

Can Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and Winter defeat Levana and find their happily ever afters? Fans will not want to miss this thrilling conclusion to Marissa Meyer’s national bestselling Lunar Chronicles series.”

Let me be the first to say, wow. This was an incredible book. It was very intimidating because it is over 800 pages. I was very hesitant to get into it, but I’m glad I did.

This is the conclusion to the Lunar Chronicles series and I could not have asked for a better ending. The story was filled with adventure and so many emotions. I have to say Winter as a character was not my favorite, but I did love the book. Winter is just a very odd character with lots of problems. I loved the relationship between Winter and Jacin.

I really loved all the outcomes of the relationships of all the characters. I figured since it was loosely based on fairytales it would have a happily ever after and it did. I loved that it didn’t have insta love like a lot of young adult books do and even more fairytales do.

It was a great read and I was not disappointed. I would give this book a 4 out of 5 stars because it did start out kind of slow. I would recommend it to high schoolers just because it is so long, but it doesn’t have mature content in it. I’m currently reading Fairest so a review should be up on that this weekend. Then off to start a new series.

I’m currently reading Fairest so a review should be up on that this weekend. Then off to start a new series. School is starting for Tay and I so we will be updating as much as we can. But it is senior year so we will be insanely busy! We will try our best though. Love you all and thanks for all the support and follows that we have gotten recently.

Until Next Time,

Alex
